#SixSentenceSunday - WIP Bearing It All.

Happy Sunday and welcome to another Six Sentence Sunday blog post. 

 I struggled this week on what work to use. I really wanted to use Kalkin, since TL have been so engrossed in his book this week with doing final proofs on it and getting the cover. It's so stinking awesome! I can't wait for everyone to see it! We'll be doing a cover reveal tomorrow. So check back here or on either of our Facebook pages to see it! In the end, though, I went with Bearing It All. It's the story of Bodhi Raftery and Emma Monte. Bodhi just happens to be Kalkin's nephew and the little imp makes his debut in Kalkin. 

 TL and I had an absolute ball writing this book. Emma has a love of all things the 80's. Especially music, which plays a big part in this book. Each chapter has one or more songs from the 80's which we felt matches the tone we were trying to relay.  These six sentences are from chapter two, and the song I felt worked best for the chapter was Hungry Eyes by Eric Carmen.

 Without further ado, here are my six sentences. Enjoy!
It had ended up broken and in the trash when it was unable to bring it home for her.
Bodhi moaned and Emma’s eyes widen when his hand slipped below the table, adjusting himself.
Shit. 
Did that just happen?  Yeah, it had and she’d seen it with her own two eyes.

 “Keep licking the damn spoon, pinky and we might have issues,” Bodhi growled.

They say things happen for a reason. I hope this is true! In the middle of April, Kalkin, which had been released January 9th, was pulled from all book retailers because of a situation out of our control with our publisher. We asked and got our rights back on it. It was, one of the hardest decisions TL and I have ever made. It was, in my mind still selling well. For the most part, TL and I have remained quiet as to why's and what's on why it happened. Simply stating it was a situation out of our control. And this is true. But see I don't think I'm going to do that anymore. TL and I did nothing wrong. We followed the rules and did everything our contract requested of us. #SixSentenceSunday with Kalkin

It's been a crazy week. The indie world was set on its ear when a well-known writer decided to TM a word often used in Romance/Erotica. I refuse ...I mean I absolutely refuse to say the author's name. I simply refer to her as you know who or the one who shall not be named. I consider her Voldemort to be honest. It's just easier for me. I've been reading everything that's been posted, both sides. TL has also been keeping me in the loop when new stuff goes down and I'm not around. Listen, I understand wanting to TM your name, your series name. I get it. I  just don't get or like how it's been done. It smells of bullying and there just has to be a better way. There just has to be . And I believe, as in this is my opinion, it's going to end badly. There is not much I can do. Six Sentence Sunday with Rule Breaker

This week's #SixSentenceSunday is from Rule Breaker. The first book in our R.O.O.T series. It's an action-adventure Military Romance novel. We had a fun researching and writing this first book. We hope at some point this year to at least start writing the second book in the series. Our hero, Asher Rainer was a blast to write for the simple fact, he has no filter. He says whatever is currently floating around in his head. TL and I knew we'd done it right when our editor informed us she'd never read a character as blunt as Asher.
