Six Sentence Sunday with Kalkin!

Kalkin was released this week and let me tell you, TL and I are blown away by the support and love we have gotten for this book. It means the world to us, especially since we've been planning, building and working on this book for almost 6 years. We truly love these characters and we are glad so do our readers!

We have already started writing the next in the series, titled Caden and our goal is to have it published in July. And of course, how we work, we're already starting to think and plan out Rapier, the 3rd book in the series. “Kal dropped Royce before he turned to address her. Royce hit the dusty ground, bouncing hard before he lay sprawled on his back again. “He’s a wolf-shifter, he’ll heal within hours or he can shift to help speed the process up. He’s not helpless.”
“He’s a pup,” she said, placing her hand on his wide chest.
“He’s a grown ass man with a fucking death wish,” Kal barked.

They say things happen for a reason. I hope this is true! In the middle of April, Kalkin, which had been released January 9th, was pulled from all book retailers because of a situation out of our control with our publisher. We asked and got our rights back on it. It was, one of the hardest decisions TL and I have ever made. It was, in my mind still selling well. For the most part, TL and I have remained quiet as to why's and what's on why it happened. Simply stating it was a situation out of our control. And this is true. But see I don't think I'm going to do that anymore. TL and I did nothing wrong. We followed the rules and did everything our contract requested of us. It's been a crazy week. The indie world was set on its ear when a well-known writer decided to TM a word often used in Romance/Erotica. I refuse ...I mean I absolutely refuse to say the author's name. I simply refer to her as you know who or the one who shall not be named. I consider her Voldemort to be honest. It's just easier for me. I've been reading everything that's been posted, both sides. TL has also been keeping me in the loop when new stuff goes down and I'm not around. Listen, I understand wanting to TM your name, your series name. I get it. I  just don't get or like how it's been done. It smells of bullying and there just has to be a better way. There just has to be . And I believe, as in this is my opinion, it's going to end badly. There is not much I can do. Six Sentence Sunday with Rule Breaker

This week's #SixSentenceSunday is from Rule Breaker. The first book in our R.O.O.T series. It's an action-adventure Military Romance novel. We had a fun researching and writing this first book. We hope at some point this year to at least start writing the second book in the series. Our hero, Asher Rainer was a blast to write for the simple fact, he has no filter. He says whatever is currently floating around in his head. TL and I knew we'd done it right when our editor informed us she'd never read a character as blunt as Asher.
