They say things happen for a reason. I hope this is true! In the middle of April, Kalkin, which had been released January 9th, was pulled from all book retailers because of a situation out of our control with our publisher. We asked and got our rights back on it. It was, one of the hardest decisions TL and I have ever made. It was, in my mind still selling well. For the most part, TL and I have remained quiet as to why's and what's on why it happened. Simply stating it was a situation out of our control. And this is true. But see I don't think I'm going to do that anymore. TL and I did nothing wrong. We followed the rules and did everything our contract requested of us. Here is the truth though, dear reader, we're not even sure if we will get paid. It's all up in the air, and without prompting, the publisher has yet to reach out to us. It's been a crazy week. The indie world was set on its ear when a well-known writer decided to TM a word often used in Romance/Erotica. I refuse ...I mean I absolutely refuse to say the author's name. I simply refer to her as you know who or the one who shall not be named. I consider her Voldemort to be honest. It's just easier for me. I've been reading everything that's been posted, both sides. TL has also been keeping me in the loop when new stuff goes down and I'm not around. Listen, I understand wanting to TM your name, your series name. I get it. I  just don't get or like how it's been done. It smells of bullying and there just has to be a better way. There just has to be . And I believe, as in this is my opinion, it's going to end badly. There is not much I can do. It's been a crazy week. Last week when I posted my #SixSentenceSunday we were trying to find a new home for our Apache County Shifters Series. This week we found one. We've been picked up by TEP (Twisted Erotica Publishing). We have contracts already for Kalkin and Caden. Kalkin is scheduled to be re-released sometime in June, Caden in September.  We're both really excited, especially since our Beta readers are totally in love with Caden. We also got a brand new cover for Kalkin. It's to die for! TL and I are totally in love with it and can't wait to show it! To be honest, the beginning of last week wasn't a good one for us. I'd even go as far and say it sucked for us. Unforeseen issues, outside of our control with our publisher, meant we had to find another home for Caden. This means the July 10th date we had for Caden's release, is no longer a possibility. You may also notice, Kalkin, has been pulled from all retailers. This was a hard day for TL and me. Thankfully though, we got our rights back on Kalkin. The only thing keeping us going, TL found a new home for our Apache County Shifters series(YEAH!) and we've now submitted both Kalkin and Caden to the new publisher. We're just waiting for contracts for both of them. Keep your fingers crossed that will hear information soon and can get release dates for both books, specifically Caden out to everyone! Another positive, and it allowed us ended our week on a high, we sent Caden out to a couple of our beta readers and we've heard nothing but positive comments

This week's #SixSentenceSunday is from Rule Breaker. The first book in our R.O.O.T series. It's an action-adventure Military Romance novel. We had a fun researching and writing this first book. We hope at some point this year to at least start writing the second book in the series. Our hero, Asher Rainer was a blast to write for the simple fact, he has no filter. This week is a big...huge week for TL and me. We're dipping our toes into the self-publishing world. It's kind of...intimdating honestly. Bonus though, I get to do with my bestie! Currently, we're elbows deep into Caden at 45K words. We're thinking, Caden will be bigger than Kalkin, as his story is... complicated. And that's okay since we're both up to the challenge. We love these characters, this family and have been so involved in wanting to tell their stories for over six years.We're truly blessed to be able to do that. TL and I always had clear-cut pictures of who saw as embodying these characters. Kalkin and Caden were pretty easy since it was always Stu who we saw for them. Thankfully we were able to secure two photos of Stu Reardon. The other family members are famous people, so now TL and I are tasked with finding cover models who fit our image of who and what we saw. It's Sunday again, so you all know what that means. I'm going to give you six sentences from either a WIP or an already published book. It's not always easy to pick which book, or even which six sentences to pull to give you a glimpse into our work. Sometimes those sentences just pop right out at me and other times, I struggle to find them. This week was not the case. Those six sentences just jumped right out to me and I went with it!
